This page explains how to delete your contributor account, what we erase, and what we are required to keep. It forms part of our Privacy Policy.
1. Deleting your account from the app
Open the RuvvLabs Scan app and go to Profile → Delete account. You will be asked to confirm. You do not need to contact us and you do not need to give a reason.
2. If you can no longer sign in
If you have lost access to your account, email ops@ruvvlabs.ai from the address you registered with and ask us to delete your account. We may ask you to verify your identity before we act, so that nobody can delete an account that isn’t theirs.
3. What happens immediately
Your access is revoked as soon as you confirm. You are signed out on every device, you can no longer sign in, and no further uploads or submissions are possible.
4. What we erase
As soon as you confirm, we permanently erase the following from your contributor record. This is immediate, not on a delay, and it cannot be undone.
- Your phone number
- Your clinic name, licence number, professional credentials and veterinary type
- The licence document you uploaded, which is deleted from our storage
- Your password
- The advertising and referral identifiers associated with your sign-up
- Your active sessions, which are deleted outright
5. What we keep, and why
Your name, email address and payment details — seven years. These are part of the tax and payment records we are legally required to keep, and we also need them to pay you. If you are owed compensation when you delete your account, email ops@ruvvlabs.ai — we can still send it. They are erased when the seven-year period expires.
Tax documentation — seven years. Forms W-9, W-8BEN and W-8BEN-E, and records of what you earned and were paid, are kept for seven years after the end of the tax year in which the last payment was made. Deleting your account does not shorten this, and we cannot remove them on request.
Submitted Media and Annotations — retained, de-identified. The photographs, videos and clinical labels you submitted are licensed to our customers and partners, and datasets already delivered cannot be recalled, so we do not delete them. We sever the link to you instead: once the retention periods above expire and the remaining details are erased, nothing in the corpus identifies you as the contributor. This is the one part of deletion that does not remove the underlying content, and it is worth understanding before you delete.
Where an audit or a legal or regulatory obligation requires it, we may also retain specific records for as long as that obligation lasts.
